Jacqueline Bellanti honored with the ACAAI Distinguished Service Award

Mrs. Jacqueline R. Bellanti, Washington, D.C., was honored with the ACAAI Distinguished Service Award at the ACAAI Annual Meeting in Baltimore, in recognition of her tireless efforts, dedication and enthusiasm on behalf of the College.

Mrs. Bellanti was the 26th president of the Auxiliary of the ACAI (2001-02) now known as the Alliance of the ACAAI. Under her leadership, the Alliance published its successful cookbook titled, “Just What You Needed…Another Cookbook” which benefited the ACAAI Foundation. The cookbook, which she co-edited, featured family recipes from College members all over the world. During her presidency she conducted a successful Strategic Planning Retreat and helped plan and execute “Youth Impressions” juried art show for local grade school students and for children or grandchildren of College members. Following her presidency, Mrs. Bellanti remains an active member of the Alliance and served as consultant on the Foundation Board. She coordinated the first Silent Auction held at the 2003 ACAAI Annual Meeting to benefit the Foundation, and co-chaired the 2003 and 2004 auctions. Mrs. Bellanti, a member since 1974, is the wife of ACAAI Past President Joseph A. Bellanti, MD, FACAAI.
