"Give yourself shots"

I recently had a patient tell me of a conversation with a Cigna representative. When she called Cigna asking about why her copay for Allergy injections increased, she was asked "Why dont you just give yourself your Allergy shots and then you would have no copay".Has anyone else had a similar experience with any Insurers?

I understand that Well point or Anthem has been sued and there is a settlement date of Nov 1st to send in settlement form for compensation. I have received this form and also one from Aetna and Cigna. I unfortunately missed the deadline on the latter two, but will be sending this one in to see if I get any thing and how much. I am curious to know how many of our delegates have participated in the settlement as well.

Does anyone have experience with the reimbursement for nitric oxide testing?

Are there any non-Medicare carriers who reimburse for the procedure ?

We are in Kansas and only Medicare pays for the procedure, well bellow our cost for the materials.

IT reimbursement in MN

Hello.

I am in MN and have 2 patients who have been on IT for 3-4 years. After the second year, co-pays went up dramatically. They were covered by Blue Cross, New York Empire. When did NY Empire implement the policy of better coverage for IT? Is anybody else still having problems with NY?

To all delegates,

This forum is alive and kicking. As soon as I figure out the bugs in using this thing - we are a "GO" in having some great discussions on important issues in your state. I have received some info in my email from two states : VA and MN

Big problem of reimbursement from BC/BS and Anthem on IT

I'll fill you in when I get more info and if the authors don't mind sharing their woes for some input from the rest of the membership.
