Resources help FITs stay focused and on track
by Christopher Martin, MD, Senior FIT Representative to the ACAAI Board of Regents
You’ve heard me say it before, at the meeting in Miami and in previous communications, “The new ACAAI website is coming soon!” I am happy to report that the new ACAAI portal is us up and running with many features we’ve wanted for a long time. As before, the Fellow-in-Training section hosts information on fellow training requirements, research opportunities, and recommended reading lists. The FIT representative section has been expanded with up-to-date contact information (We want to hear from you!) as well as the forms to use when nominating someone for a representative position. Popular areas remain unchanged, such as the FIT Corner that still hosts the most recent ACAAI FIT board review-type questions, as well as an archive of previous years’ topics. Read more

Click the link for more information on this valuable program. More senior physicians who are interested in being mentors for junior physicians may also find this information valuable.

Grants and Awards
Many opportunities exist for monetary awards that offset the cost of travel to the ACAAI Annual Meeting. The Alliance of the ACAAI holds annual fundraisers to assist with the awarding of the Clemens von Pirquet Awards. Annual meeting attendees should have their abstracts in before the deadline to compete for these prestigious awards. Industry contributes generously to sponsor FIT attendees from around the world.
