ACAAI Develops A Board Relevant Review Guide For The ABAI Examination by Tao Le
In an effort to address the learning needs of its members, the College is developing a board relevant review text for the ABAI certification and recertification examinations. The project is being led by Tao T. Le, MD, MHS, FACAAI, and co-editors Bret R. Haymore, MD, and Vivian P. Hernandez-Trujillo, MD, FACAAI. Dr. Le is best known as the author of the popular First Aid medical board review series published by McGraw-Hill. Over 20 FITs and recent FIT graduates are involved in authoring the 400+ page illustrated guide with the assistance of dozens of expert reviewers.
“This will be the first all-new ABAI exam review written in years,” said Dr. Le. “The text will be peer-to-peer written like the other First Aid books. Fellows and those who are close to their exam preparation experiences are often the best judges of the topics and content that should be studied when preparing for the ABAI exam.”
The ABAI text review is expected to be published in early 2010 as a downloadable PDF available to all members free of charge through the ACAAI website. There are also plans to be make the text available as a print book and as a web-based wiki that can be continued to be revised by FITs and College members.
