The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) represents more than 6,000 allergists-immunologists and allied health professionals. Our members live and practice throughout the United States, and treat patients with severe allergies that cause anaphylaxis. The top priority of our members is to make sure that every patient needing an epinephrine auto-injector has access to the life-saving medicine. ACAAI always has and always will advocate for affordable medicine for the patients we serve.

Allergists do not set prices for medication, but as an advocacy organization, we work to ensure that patients get the necessary epinephrine supplies to keep them safe in an emergency. We encourage all patients with difficulty affording their allergy medications to discuss ways of obtaining them with their allergist. Anyone who has severe allergies and requires epinephrine should be under the care of an allergist. ACAAI supports continuing the ongoing dialogue between patients, advocacy groups, physician groups, the US Congress, and the pharmaceutical industry to help solve this complicated problem.

The ACAAI is a professional medical organization of more than 6,000 allergists-immunologists and allied health professionals, headquartered in Arlington Heights, Ill. The College fosters a culture of collaboration and congeniality in which its members work together and with others toward the common goals of patient care, education, advocacy and research. ACAAI allergists are board-certified physicians trained to diagnose allergies and asthma, administer immunotherapy, and provide patients with the best treatment outcomes.
