Allergist Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo, MD: If the symptoms are very frequent and last for more than several days, it’s likely to be allergies. It can be confusing because they present similarly. It may be clear nasal discharge, sneezing, watery eyes.
But if at any point there’s fever, muscle aches, or if the discharge is a little bit thicker, that’s when I would talk to your primary care physician or your allergist to determine is this my allergies or is it a cold?
