English Transcript

Allergist Sarah Spriet, DO: Allergy immunotherapy either given subcutaneously as a shot, or sublingually as a tablet, is given for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, and sometimes atopic dermatitis.

It truly is the first precision medicine because we determine what someone is allergic to by taking a detailed history and then conducting testing to figure out which allergens should be in the mix. And we can include all of the allergens that someone is allergic to in allergen immunotherapy shots.

So, for example, if you suffer from allergies due to cats, and dust mites and tree pollens, I can include that in the custom prescription that we give you in the allergen immunotherapy injections.
